Diamond Bar Chinese American Association (DBCAA) Lunar New Year Celebration



On January 28th, the Lunar New Year Celebration, hosted by the Diamond Bar Chinese American Association (DBCAA), took place with grandeur at Diamond Bar High School. The event featured numerous booths and captivating dragon dances and performances, attracting many local residents.

Present at the event were Diamond Bar Mayor Andrew Chou, Councilmember Dr. Chia Yu Teng, Walnut School District Board Member Yi Tong, Walnut Valley Water District Directors, DBCAA President Theresa Lee, DBCAA Vice President and Adesso President Allen Ku, Diamond Bar High School Principal Reuben Jones, California Governor Gavin Newsom's representative, State Senate Archuleta's representative, Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis's representative, representatives from the Walnut Valley Police Department, and Diamond Bar Fire Department, among others.

Theresa Lee, President of DBCAA, and Alan Ku, representing DBCAA, donated $10,000 to Diamond Bar High School and made donations of $1,000 each to the Walnut Valley Police Department, Diamond Bar Fire Department, TACF, and Heart of Hope organizations. Theresa Lee and Allen Kueach donated $10,000 to the Chinese Association on that day, with Allen Kualso contributing $2,000 to the Southern California Chinese Music Association.

President Theresa Lee expressed a warm welcome to everyone attending the event and hoped that through celebrating the Lunar New Year, they could promote Chinese culture and unite the community, giving the Chinese voice a platform.

Vice President Allen Kustated that he was honored to represent the association in organizing the annual celebration. The focus of the day was to promote cultural exchange between China and America, with their actions aimed at helping society.

The day's activities were diverse and included activities such as writing couplets, ethnic dances, and various forms of Lunar New Year celebrations.

On that day, Theresa Lee (left) and Allen Ku (right) each made a $10,000 donation to the Chinese Association and, on behalf of the association, donated $10,000 to Diamond Bar High School.
