The 2023 "Diamond Bar Mid-Autumn Festival" organized by the Diamond Bar Chinese American Association (DBCAA) took place in grandeur on Saturday, September 30th, at Diamond Bar High School. Hundreds of local and international families attended the day's festivities and evening performances.

The event featured a wide array of distinctive cuisines, business exhibitions, music and dance performances, and program displays. During the evening, President Solomon Koo of the Diamond Bar Chinese American Association generously donated $10,000 to Diamond Bar High School to support extracurricular activities.

President Solomon Koo expressed his delight, stating, "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to invite so many people from our nearby community to join us for our annual Mid-Autumn celebration. We hope to bring people together here, regardless of race, age, gender, or origin. We want everyone to contribute, making our community more harmonious and better."

He further explained, "We will be donating this money to Diamond Bar High School, primarily aiming to support student clubs and activities. Apart from dance, music, and sports, we intend to allocate funds to areas like robotics and computer science. Through these activities, we aim to provide children not only with academic knowledge but also practical skills and involvement in projects they are passionate about."

Tong Yi, a Walnut Valley School Board Member, shared her enthusiasm, stating, "I am delighted that our Chinese association can organize this Mid-Autumn event to showcase our community's traditions and provide an opportunity for us to contribute to Diamond Bar High School. As a school board member and former president of the Chinese American Association, this is a proud moment for me because both sides are my good friends. The association supports school projects, and as Chinese Americans, we can be involved in our community. This is a very honorable thing."

David Hong, the Principal of Diamond Bar High School, expressed his gratitude, saying, "This is a very meaningful event. Thank you to the Diamond Bar Chinese American Association for organizing this event and supporting high school education. I am honored to serve the outstanding community at Diamond Bar High School."
